What's maturity?
I am under the belief that it is simply the time at which you have completed the stages of self-development and are able to develop outside yourself.
This is true in basically all areas of life. You are mature once you can produce offspring. You are mature when you can stop putting all your focus on yourself as a child does and you can put focus toward developing others.
As someone who has been told for years that she was mature I had, up until a few weeks ago, assumed that I was. Now that I have taken the time to think about it, I have become aware with some Assistance, that I am not.
It also occurs to me that maturity is linked to the presence or absence of a secure identity. And standards.
I think that's enough for now.
Thoughts of a Stranger
Um, just the random and sometimes maybe profound thoughts of a young artist with a laptop.
